The following Polices and documentation are used extensively by the Council in order to effectively operate:

The Parish Council meets on Tuesday nights at the Community Centre. The meeting schedule for June to December 2023 was agreed by Council on 7 March 2023. TPC H2 2023 Meeting Schedule.  For 2024, the schedule of meetings was agreed on 7 Nov 2023 TPC H1 2024 Meeting Schedule

TPC Standing Orders Adopted May 2023 Standing Orders are the “bible” for our actions within Council.  They govern our various forms of meeting and the committee types that hold them.  It also governs how voting is held and counted

TPC Finance Regs approved Sep 2020 reviewed Dec 22: Used for the governance on all Financial transactions, this document is another important part of ensuring good governance.

Complaints Policy (8 Mar 2021): The Complaints Procedure lays out the mechanism that we have in place for dealing with complaints against the Council and it’s staff.

TPC Grant Awarding Policy Nov 2019 amended Dec 21and  Grant Application form : The Parish Council aims to offer funding towards projects and services that work in partnership with the Council’s aims and objectives to provide maximum benefit to the community.

Environmental Policy (Dec 2021): In the light of the climate emergency affecting the world, the Parish Council built a policy to ensure that Tiptree was doing what they could to also consider the environment, and make a difference locally.

The TPC Training Log is displayed to demonstrate that ongoing learning has been undertaken by both Councillors and Staff to stay current in their roles. 

TPC Co-option Policy Co-option is the process of approving a member of the Public to join the Council, when a vacancy has been created. Co-Option requires that the voters of Tiptree have decided not to hold another election for the vacant seat.

TPC Training & Development Policy : This policy sets the groundwork for ensuring that all Staff and Councillors are granted the opportunity to succeed in their roles.

TPC Code of Conduct 2022:  Councillors are held to a high standard for their actions as a Councillor, and all have confirmed by signing that they will abide by the Code of Conduct.  Effectively, this means acting with regard to the following principles – selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership
