From 20th June 2017, black bags will only be collected every two weeks and residents will only be able to put out a maximum of 3 bags per collection. Colchester Borough Council has acknowledged that some households may find this difficult and they have agreed an exemption policy that will allow qualifying households to put out more than 3 bags per collection. If you believe you might qualify for exemption you can apply on line HERE. If you apply on line you will receive a telephone call from an officer at Colchester Borough Council who will discuss your particular circumstances with you. If you do not have on line access, telephone 01206 282700 for assistance.
