Local residents are invited to continue getting hands-on with nature this month as the Tiptree Green Spaces Project moves to new sites at Windmill Green and Grove Lake.
Following the successful launch events at Park Lane Nature Reserve in October, the project, a partnership between Tiptree Parish Council and The Conservation Volunteers (TCV), continues its mission to protect, restore and celebrate Tiptree’s natural spaces.

This month’s volunteer days will focus on tree planting, scrub thinning, fire break creation, and habitat pile building – all vital activities to support local wildlife, regenerate habitats, and enhance biodiversity across Tiptree’s green spaces.
November Volunteer Dates
- Wednesday 12th November – Tree planting with Thurstable School at Windmill Green, Tiptree
- Tuesday 18th November – Scrub and tree area thinning, and fire break creation by the fence at Grove Lake, Tiptree
- Thursday 20th November – Continuing fire break and scrub work at Grove Lake, Tiptree
- Sunday 23rd November – Habitat pile creation and conservation work with college students at Grove Lake, Tiptree
Hot drinks, tools, and training will be provided by TCV. Volunteers are asked to bring a packed lunch, wear outdoor clothing, and sturdy footwear suitable for the conditions.
The Tiptree Green Spaces Project will continue throughout 2025–2027, offering regular opportunities for local residents to connect with nature, gain practical conservation skills, and help make a lasting difference for wildlife and the community.
