Community Centre

The Tiptree Community Centre is situated at 1a Caxton Close, Tiptree, CO5 0HA and is available for hire seven days per week between 8:30am and 11pm (11.30pm on Friday and Saturday). The Community Centre offers modern facilities suitable for parties, weddings, conferences, meetings, playgroups, club activities and much more. The building is wheelchair accessible and has one fully disabled toilet and one accessible toilet. A hearing loop and baby changing facilities are also provided.

The building is made up of 3 separately hire-able halls – They are (in decreasing size order):

The Main Hall (The Webb Hall), which is able to accommodate up to 200 people and includes the use of a fully fitted kitchen. Dimensions are 16.4m x 10.4m

The Small Hall (Elliott Hall) is suitable for up to 50 people and has a small tea/coffee making facility attached to the rear of the hall. With it’s own access arrangements, it can be separated from what is happening in the Main Hall. Dimensions are 10.5m x 5.1 m.

The Meeting Room (The Mike Robinson Meeting Room) for up to 30 people and due to the table arrangements, is only hired out for meetings. Dimensions are 8.2m x 3.8m

Both the Main and the Small halls have their own external access, meaning that the building can be used simultaneously by more than one hirer. The two rooms do have adjoining doors, making it possible to hire the entire section if this is what is desired. There is WIFI access throughout and a projector available for use. There are two disabled parking spaces available, but general parking is limited. There are however 30 community parking spaces available at the adjacent Tesco store (subject to availability) . In consideration to our neighbours we do ask that users of the centre do not park in Caxton Close.
