Local residents invited to get involved in nature, biodiversity and community action.
Tiptree Parish Council and The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) are proud to announce the official launch of the Tiptree Green Spaces Project, a two year long project aimed at protecting, restoring and celebrating Tiptree’s natural spaces.
To mark the launch, local residents are invited to take part in three free community conservation days at Park Lane Nature Reserve on Thursday 23rd, 28th and 30th October 2025.
The project focuses on improving biodiversity, enhancing public access to green areas, and encouraging local people to take an active role in caring for their environment.
By combining expert support from TCV and the North Essex Biodiversity Action Team with the passion of the community, the project will help ensure that Tiptree’s natural spaces are better protected for both wildlife and future generations.
“We’re excited to launch this long-term project to enhance and safeguard Tiptree’s green spaces. By partnering with TCV, we’re opening up our local nature sites to expert care and community involvement. This project isn’t just about helping nature thrive today – it’s about protecting these spaces for future generations to enjoy and connect with.”
– Tiptree Parish Council spokesperson.
Held at Park Lane Nature Reserve, a key location for biodiversity in the area, these initial volunteer days are open to adults (18+) and require no prior experience. Participants will help coppice overgrown scrub and saplings to support natural habitat regeneration, which is a key step in maintaining biodiversity in the reserve.
